Real-Time Visual Debugging
Each GPIO pin is equipped with a dedicated LED indicator driven by 74HC04 hex inverter ICs — completely isolated from the MCU's GPIO with zero current loading. This non-intrusive design ensures ADC accuracy, bus signal integrity (I²C/SPI/UART), and output drive capability remain unaffected. Logic HIGH illuminates the LED; logic LOW turns it off. Instant visual verification without external test equipment.

High-Power Dual DC-DC Outputs
Dual JW5357MSOTB#TR synchronous buck converters provide simultaneous 5V/3A and 3.3V/3A regulated outputs from a 7–18V DC input. This robust power delivery system easily drives multiple high-current peripherals including servos, motors, and addressable LED arrays — a significant upgrade over underpowered LDO regulators commonly found on competing boards.

Flexible Connectivity & Voltage Selection
Each GPIO row offers both a 2.54mm 3-pin header (S/V/G) and a screw terminal block — headers for rapid prototyping with jumper wires, terminal blocks for permanent, vibration-proof installations. The V_Selector jumper switches the common V-rail between 3.3V and 5V, enabling seamless compatibility across a wide range of 3.3V logic sensors and 5V actuator modules without rewiring.

Robust Protection Circuitry
The SI2302 N-channel MOSFET delivers full reverse polarity protection — accidentally reversing the DC power supply polarity will not damage the board. An anti-backflow diode prevents USB 5V from feeding back into the DC-DC converter output when operating solely via USB. The on-board slide switch provides independent control of peripheral power, enabling firmware updates via USB without power-cycling connected loads.

ESP32-S3 Dedicated Design
The 2×22P female socket is engineered specifically for 44-pin ESP32-S3 development boards, with support for module widths of 0.8, 0.9, and 1.0 inches at the industry-standard 2.54mm pitch. Optimized for the ESP32-S3-DevKitC-1 (N8/N8R8/N16R8) and compatible with the majority of commercially available ESP32-S3 modules.

⚠️ Critical Operational Notes:

  • Verify pin alignment between your ESP32-S3 board and the socket silkscreen before applying power — mismatched pinouts may short VCC to GPIO and cause permanent damage.

  • Confirm V_Selector jumper position (3.3V/5V) before connecting peripherals — applying 5V to a 3.3V-only device will permanently destroy it.

  • Do not exceed 18V on the DC input — voltage above this rating can damage the DC-DC converters.

  • Minimum input voltage: 7V DC — operation below this threshold results in unstable or insufficient output.
