It was easy to install and worked fine. My problem with it was that I couldn't properly size the screen no matter what I tried. I had to reboot several times because I would open a program and, because the screen was misized, I couldn't close it.

nice product

This is a great display and I'm using it on my BLV mgn Cube printer build. The only issue is that the cable it comes with is straight-thru as noted elsewhere and all the other RPi cables are twisted. I needed a longer cable so I cut off one end of my meter long cable and stripped off the insulation on the other side using a detail file. The backing from the cut off end is needed to make sure the new cable is thick enough to latch into the connector but other than that the modified cable works great.

best product

Plugged it in and it immediately worked. It's awesome to have a screen that doesn't require 5 other items just to hook it up to the PI. I'm creating a custom case for the Pi and screen and this screen should work great. The brightness is good but the only way to adjust is through command but that is ok. As others mentioned the ribbon cable is the oddity in this purchase. Both connections are on the same side so using a normal cable wont work. Only thing I'd like to see are cables listed for purchase with the device. The cable that comes with it is about 4 inches long so it works but a longer cable would be nice. After seeing many replys to questions by the company I decided to message them about it. I asked how much an 8-10 in cable would cost. I received the reply they don't have any which is a big disappointment. Still works great just not good that a larger cable cannot be found anywhere.

Excellent Product

What can I say? This is like ONE of only TWO screens in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE that runs on the pi display port. And it doesn't have a separate driver board that I have to figure out what to do with. Those were its two main selling points. It has a good enough picture, I suppose. It could be brighter. The touchscreen works flawlessly. And doesn't feel cheap like some OTHER displays. I only wish it was an IPS! Oh well.. Maybe someday... At least NOW I can fit everything inside the case, and is powered directly from the display port. I haven't had it long enough to know what kind of battery life to expect; but it's been running for roughly two hours on a 5000mA battery and has only drained a quarter of it so far. Yes I would recommend it.

top product

This is a fairly well built screen, everything that's needed is included, ribbon cable, standoffs and screws. The quality image quality is good.
