とりあえずレッスン１（ロボットカー組み立てと、テストプログラムによる走行）まで完成。
いやー、長かった。
結論から言うと、すんなりいけば、動画通りに組み立てて２時間で行けます。
但し、私は１週間かかりました。
というのも、付属のArduino Unoの基板に不具合があり、テストプログラムをArduino IDEからUnoへアップロードできなかったからです。
色々やりましたが解決できず、結局Arduino Unoの基板をもう一つ購入しました。
当初は、発生しているエラーの解決方法としてネット上に上がっている方法に従い、新しいArduino Unoから元のArduino Unoへブートローダを上書きを試みましたが、ブートローダの上書き自体は上手く行ったものの、テストプログラムのアップロードは相変わらずダメでした。
これはもう元の基板は破損しているだろうと判断し、新しい方のArduino Unoをロボットカーに載せ替えたところ、テストプログラムのアップロードはすんなり上手く行きました。
そのままテスト走行も成功。
ということで、本製品はArduino Uno基盤が不良品でした。
ではなぜ★５個かというと、私のスキルが上がったから。
別に、ロボットが欲しいわけじゃないです。Arduino Unoと、ロボットプログラミングの概念を勉強するために入手したものなので、手順通りにやってロボットが動いても大して意味は無いです。
トラブルにぶつかってそれを解決する過程でこそ、技術的な知見が深まるのです。
ということで、Arduino Unoについて一つトラブルシューティングし、私の知識とスキルが向上したのでこれは間違いなく★５です。
ひきつづきレッスン２以降もやっていこうと思います。

"I am a STEM teacher and I have purchased this product multiple times as it is a good robot for the price and historically has performed well in the classroom setting. The robot is easy to assemble and comes with links to video instructions for each mode. I would originally give this product 5 stars, but they have recently made changes to the smartphone controller interface that made this robot much harder to control. Originally, the app used a simple directional pad to move the robot on both bluetooth and wifi.
Recently, they changed the smartphone controller for Bluetooth that uses the phone's accelerometer to steer the robot left and right. Wifi control has always been undependable so, this gimmicky control has made controlling the robot frustrating and imprecise. Please go back to the original smartphone directional pad for control on bluetooth and I will revert this back to 5 stars."

This is pretty complete kit that comes with batteries and online video tutorials that will guide you step by step on how to build the car. I was able to go through all the trainings and tutorials in less than 3 hours.

My son really is enjoying putting it together. Comes with everything in separate marked bags. Also includes a card with color pictures of each part with the name of the part. Really nice!

I helped my 5 year-old son build this car in phases and we had a great time. The instructions were clear, the videos helpful, the code readable and easy to modify, and all of the pieces we needed were nicely labeled and prepared. The final car itself is neat, but building it was much more fun.
