今まで、3.5インチのGPIO接続のモニターで使用しておりましたが、あまりに小さく見づらい為、購入いたしました。
こちらの商品は、別電源も必要なく、リボンケーブルを接続するだけでドライバの設定も無しで普通に映りました。
しかも、ＨＤＭＩポートもＧＰＩＯポートも使用しないので、ケーブルが少なくて助かりました。
あと、実用的ではないですが、ＨＤＭＩ接続とＧＰＩＯ接続と当モニターの三画面接続も可能でした。
5インチのものとお値段も変わらないのでお得かと思います。
視野角や発色はまあ、値段相応ですが、それでも見やすくて助かります。

Raspberry Pi公式の7インチタッチスクリーンと同様のDSI（リボンケーブル）で接続可能なディスプレイです。電源供給のために別途ケーブルを接続する必要がなく、リボンケーブルのみでRaspberry Pi本体と接続するためシンプルだと思います。

Raspberry Pi上で特別な設定を行うことなく表示されました。
OSはArch Linux ARMで確認しています。

保護用フィルムが貼られ、説明書もちゃんと付属しています。公式7インチタッチスクリーンと比較し価格が安いのと、固定用のフレームとネジを通す穴が空いているため、自作のケースや何かに固定して使いたいと言った場合にはこちらを選択するのもありかと思います。

発色は昨今の美しい表示が可能な液晶ディスプレイを見慣れていると、お世辞にも良いとは言えませんが、ウェブブラウジング、ターミナル操作、コーディング、GUIインターフェースを操作する限りにおいて実用上問題はありません。

800x480の7インチディスプレイを探している中、タッチ用のケーブルや電源供給用のケーブルを別途接続したくないと言った方にはお勧めです。HDMI接続はできないため、Raspberry Pi以外の機器とも接続する用途を想定している場合には、HDMI接続可能なディスプレイを購入したほうが良いと思います。
