Internet of Things (IoT) Starter Kit for Raspberry Pi
Before you start The Raspberry Pi IOT Project, we strongly suggest you learning the Raspberry Pi basic project firstly: http://kookye.com/?p=4649 Internet of Things (IoT) Starter Kit on Raspberry Pi Internet of Things or IoT is a very popular topic in today’s world. Though IOT technology, people can control almost everything remotely through browser or cellphone app and greatly improve our productivity and life quality. To help beginners to understand what is Internet Of Things. Our team, in partner with cayenne.mydevices.com, designed this IoT starter kit which can give some hands-on experience on IoT technology and DIY some simple but useful project for fun. Detailed Tuturial

Steps to run IOT project with our kit Step 1: Register a Free account in cayenne.mydevices.com Step 2: install smartphone app or you can simply use your browserDownload myDevices Cayenne Smartphone App from Apple Store or Google Play Step 3: install client software on pi Make sure Raspbian OS is freshly installed in your Raspberry Pi and Internet is connected to Pi,then install Cayenne client software on Raspberry Pi by typing following two commands in Pi command window: wget https://cayenne.mydevices.com/dl/rpi_t98xrjhi6d.sh sudo bash rpi_t98xrjhi6d.sh -v Your command should be a little different as per different account registered.IoT-Step3 Type and run the two commands above in your Raspberry Pi terminal and install cayenne client on Pi. (You could use our 3.5'' LCD screen to type the two commands, it would be more easy for starter.) Your Pi will download and install some client software, this might take about 5 to 10 minutes depending on your internet connection speed. Step 4: Begin our first project! Once your client installation is done, in Cayenne’s control panel page you will see a Raspberry Pi icon in the upper left hand corner. Login to your Cayenne control panel, you should see an Add new button on upper left corner, if you can not see this button, click User menu -> Triggers & Alerts , you will see it. Click Add new->Device in Device Category select Sensors->Generic->Digit Input You will see a View Tutorial link in right side of the page. It will show a simple circuit graph which connects a push button to Pi.IoT-step4-01 Back to Main Control Panel Page, on Select Raspberry Pi drop-down menu, you should see Raspberry Pi option(If you can not see any Pi option, your client software installation should have some problem or your internet connection is broken), select that default Pi option. Select all option values as per the picture above. And lastly click the “Add Sensor” button on the lower-right corner. You will see that a GPIO input icon will show on the left menu. Click that icon, you will see the following image. IoT-step4 02 As shown in the picture above, you will initially see a green square inside a block. Now go back to your Pi circuit and push the button on your breadboard. You will see the green square turn into a gray square as shown below: IoT-step4-03 Now you have successfully used your Raspberry Pi to communicate with the Cloud. Caynenne supports many more sensors on their cloud service, most of which are included in our kit. You can browse through them on Cayenne’s website. Package Included:
