  • OSOYOO starter kit for Micro:bit v2

micro:bit v2 is a brand new, super-charged version of the popular pocket-sized codeable computer, brought bang up to date with a microphone, speaker and upgraded processing capabilities.

Widely used in schools, libraries and code clubs, micro:bits are sturdy and easy to program, with built-in Bluetooth for comms and loads of onboard sensors to experiment with. Lots of learning materials are available - check out our edu site or the MakeCode site for some ideas of what's possible!

microbit: v2 has over four times the processing power and eight times as much RAM as the original micro:bit! As well the new onboard speaker and microphone, v2 also has an extra touch sensitive button and an edge connector that's redesigned to work better with crocodile clips. micro:bit v2 should be compatible with most existing micro:bit add-on boards and accessories (though there are a few exceptions - check the shop page of the add-on in question to be sure).

OSOYOO starter kit is suitable for Micro:bit v2 , making it easier and more convenient to learn mirco:bit.

We have a 2x AA batteries box and USB cable, you can use it in two ways.

    New change -Speaker,Microphone,Touch logo

1.The new micro:bit has built-in speaker, which makes it really easy to add sound to your projects. Any micro:bit sound project will work with the speaker, but with the new micro:bit you can also express yourself with some new sounds: make your micro:bit giggle, greet you or let you know when it's sleepy or sad.

You can also mute the speaker and sound will still come out of the pins so you can still enjoy micro:bit music on headphones connected to GND and pin 0. In MakeCode, use the music block 'set on-board speaker off'.

2.The new micro:bit has a built-in microphone. You can use it as a simple input - make your micro:bit turn the lights on when you clap. It can also measure the amount of sound, so you can make a noise level meter or disco lights that beat in time with music.

The microphone is on the back of the new micro:bit, and on the front you'll find a new microphone LED next to the hole that lets the sound in. It lights up to show you when your micro:bit is measuring sound levels.

3.If you have the the new micro:bit, you can use the gold logo as another input in your projects. It's like having an extra button.

The touch logo uses capacitive touch, sensing tiny changes in electrical fields to know when your finger is pressing it - just like your phone or tablet screen.

You can trigger events in your programs when you press it like a button, but also when you first touch it, when you let go and if you press it for longer.
