PiStudio Kit for Raspberry Pi Turn Pi into 7" workstation

Turn your Raspberry Pi into a user-friendly, high-performance 7-inch display workstation. The OSOYOO PiStudio Kit is a Raspberry Pi frame (patented in Europe and the USA) plus a heat-sink and fan: add a 7-inch DSI display and your Pi becomes a 7" mini desktop, a workstation, a home security control panel, and much more. Please note: this kit is the case only — the 7-inch display is NOT included. It fits the official Raspberry Pi 7-inch 800×480 DSI display and the OSOYOO 7-inch IPS V4.0 DSI touch screen (sold separately).

Installation overview

1. If you are using the case with the OSOYOO 7-inch IPS V4.0 DSI screen, remove the copper standoffs from the back of the screen.
2. Insert the 15-pin 1 mm end of the DSI cable into the display (metal contacts must face upward), mount the display into the case, and secure it with 4× M3×6 screws.
3. Install the front plate and secure it with 4× M2.3×6 self-tapping screws from the back.
4. Insert the CSI cable (approximately 15 cm) into the V3 camera, place the camera at the back of the front plate, and secure it with M2.3×6 self-tapping screws.
5. Prepare a TF card with an OS image, insert it into the Raspberry Pi TF card slot, then connect the DSI and CSI cables to the Raspberry Pi DSI and CSI ports.
6. Mount the Raspberry Pi board in the case with 4× M2×6 screws.
7. Install the fan on the door and connect the fan wires to the Raspberry Pi GPIO pins. Two door options are included — choose the correct door for your Raspberry Pi model. If you are using a Raspberry Pi 5 with an Active Cooler, skip the fan steps. Tip: start at low speed for quieter operation; if a temperature warning icon appears on the display, switch to high speed.
8. Assemble the door — be careful not to pinch any cables — and secure it with M2.3×6 self-tapping screws.
9. Attach the stand holder to the back of the case.
10. To wall-mount: mark the screw positions on the wall using the dimensions in the installation guide, then hang the screen with the included expansion screws. Make sure the screws are firmly anchored in the wall before hanging the screen.
